"Casino Night" Operator Agrees to Pay $30,000 Penalty For Violations
NEWARK ? A Burlington County-based company that supplies personnel and equipment to qualified organizations for "casino night" fund raisers has agreed to pay $30,000 in penalties for violations that included the use of unlicensed dealers and uncertified games.
The New Jersey Legalized Games of Chance Control Commission (LGCCC) found that Tumbling Dice Entertainment, Inc., and its owners, Kevin Graham and Lisa Graham, committed multiple violations during casino nights held from 2004 through 2007. Tumbling Dice Entertainment, also known as Dealer?s Choice and Haliam Enterprises, is located in Southampton.
The LGCCC, which also regulates raffles, bingo and boardwalk/fair amusement games, found that the company and the Grahams provided a total of 184 unlicensed dealers during 18 casino night events held for various organizations.
Additionally, equipment was provided for two casino nights in early 2006 when the company had failed to renew its license. Another violation involved the use of uncertified skill stop devices during a casino night held in February, 2004.
"We regulate casino nights to ensure the sponsoring organizations benefit as intended," Acting Consumer Affairs Director Stephen B. Nolan said. "The integrity of fund raisers is important to participants as well as the organizations."
